I’m excited to be bringing back my popular ‘Weave your own scarf’ workshop!
This is a one day course where you are able to come and weave your very own British wool scarf on either my table loom or smaller floor loom. The looms will be already set up with a warp, you will come and add your personality to it with a great selection of hand dyed British wool yarn to choose from for your weft yarns and, of course, full guidance from me on how to create different patterns etc.
This course is designed to be suitable for complete beginners and intermediate lever weavers alike. If you’ve done some weaving before but you still feel you have more you’d like to learn then this could be a great opportunity for you to come and learn and have a play.
There are only a couple of spaces available meaning the teaching is very personal to each participant.
I’ve also added the option to bring your own loom. At event I often have people come and tell me they bought themselves a loom but aren’t sure where to start with it! If your loom is relatively transportable, ie. You can get it to the hall, I will help you learn how to set up and weave on your own loom.
Incase you don’t know me - my name is Charlotte and I have nearly 13 years experience in weaving. My weaving journey started in 2012 when I embarked on my degree in Textiles for Fashion and Interiors, during which I specialised in woven textiles. And I’ve been weaving ever since. I am passionate about the craft and keeping it alive for future generations and educating people on this traditional production process which was once the backbone of our country.
